Poly-Scientific to Exhibit Fiber Optic Switches at OFC 2003

Poly-Scientific will exhibit (Booth #2201) at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC), March 25-27, 2003, in Atlanta, Georgia. Poly-Scientific will showcase its new singlemode fiber optic switch product.

In addition to the new singlemode fiber optic switch, Poly-Scientific will exhibit its multimode switch and ruggedized switch versions. There will also be a dynamic computer simulation at the booth (#2201) where visitors can select parameters that match their project needs and see the unique characteristics of a switch that matches their applications. Poly-Scientific engineers will be at the booth to discuss specific requirements.

"Over the years, our customers have learned that Poly-Scientific has a legacy of providing leading-edge product technology and innovative solutions, despite economic uncertainty and changing business environments," says Mike Jordan, Business Development Manager. "At this year's OFC, our products will demonstrate how we are building on our 20+ years of development and production experience in fiber optics with the introduction of the MEMS based fiber optic singlemode switch. In addition, we'll be celebrating Poly-Scientific's 50th anniversary in providing solutions to our customers."

As the largest and most highly regarded event in the industry, the OFC provides an established forum for optical communications education and development. Sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/Communications Society (IEEE/ComSoc), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (IEEE/LEOS) and Optical Society of America (OSA), OFC specialized in combining a high-powered exhibition with a unique program of Plenary Sessions, workshops, educational sessions, short courses, and networking events to meet the large range of interests and technical expertise of the thousands of attendees it draws.
