Design Engineer Blacksburg, VA Email Resume Candidates will interface with customers and team members to establish appropriate performance requirements for customer designed precision slip ring products. Use of CAD/CAE system (Unigraphics-NX) and engineering calculations to design and analyze precision electro-mechanical slip ring products based on customer requirements. Must be willing to support aggressive development /design/manufacturing schedules while supporting various programs and disciplines. Candidates must have a BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering or in an associated field.  The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD system (Unigraphics-NX preferred) with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook). Electronic Technician Blacksburg, VA Email Resume The qualified candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation and testing of electronic components and assemblies using an Oscilloscope, Digital Analyzer, Bit Error Rate Detector, Pattern Generator and various types of Multi-meters; plus, experience with thermal and vibration controllers is desired. Additionally, the candidate must be able to accurately interpret electronic schematics, work instructions and test documentation. Engineering Assistants (Part time) Blacksburg, VA Email Resume The successful candidates will be to assist the M.E. Mgr and M.E.’s with various support tasks to improve the efficiency of the plant. Initially, this task will include developing a system to identify and maintain processing equipment needs and a recall and storage system for this equipment. Some clerical duties are also required. Candidates are desired to be in pursuit of a 2 or 4 year Engineering degree and have an estimated future minimum of two years of continuous employment.  The individual must be proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word, have some clerical skills, and have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.  Working knowledge of measurement equipment is desired, but can be taught.  A mechanical aptitude is required, as well as, the ability to work with and understand computer controlled equipment.  Knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
Inspector of Tooling and Machined Parts (2nd Shift) Blacksburg, VA Email Resume Selected candidates will check machined parts to blue prints using hand measuring tools, gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machine and Ram Optical Instrumentation (Visual Measuring System). Must have a good foundation in computer skills including 3D parametric Computer Aided Design (3D-CAD) as well as general office productivity software and spreadsheets. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comprehension. General knowledge of business cost elements, selling and manufacturing processes. Well developed oral and written communication skills.
